Last Friday, Rivne Airport director Ihor Nasyniuk held negotiations with the representative of the LOT airline on possible launch of flights from Rivne to Poland. The message came from Airport Deputy Director Mykhailo Chubai.
Following the negotiations, the enterprise will collect information of the potential passenger flow to Poland, using statistical data on the number of passengers of the railway transport, automobile transport and the number of tourists.
That done, the data will be sent to LOT for analysing. It is suggested, that the air carrier will base on them to take the decision on the practicability of opening the flights.
As Mykhailo Chubai noted, after the completion of the Bravo Airways charter programme from Rivne, the airport looks for new airlines for cooperation.
LOT was chosen judging from the big popularity of travels to the cities of Poland from Rivne and the neighbouring regions, as well as due to availability of regional planes Bombardier Q400 in their fleet, which can land in Rivne.
For the present, the airport has restrictions of the State Aviation Administration for admission of planes with low-engine position, such as Boeing 737 and Embraer 190.
