Economy-class passengers who have bought tickets for the flydubai flights with Emirates code since October 3rd will be able to get free meals during the flight and earn miles within the Emirates Skywards loyalty programme. Such change in service will take place on account of expanding the partnership between flydubai and Emirates, who signed a codeshare agreement. It will come into effect for the flights made after October 29th and is applicable to 29 directions, including routes Kyiv-Dubai and Odessa-Dubai.
Supplementary advantages of the flydubai flights, performed within the codeshare agreement with Emirates, will be given to the owners of premium-level cards Skywards – they will be allowed to convey additionally from 12 to 20 kg of baggage above the standard free weight. However, that will be provided only in case of buying tickets for the flights of flydubai having received an allowance and Emirates EK code.
Within the framework of the expanded cooperation, the air carriers have already decreased the minimum connecting time required for transfer from the flydubai flight to Emirates and vice versa in Dubai Airport from 180 to 120 minutes. Before then, the clients of Emirates could buy a single ticket, which included the flights of flydubai and Emirates; however, the flydubai flights were specified in it with an own FZ code. Meals and other services for those flights were provided to the passengers who confirmed tickets by Emirates for a fee on a common basis.
