The Iranian Boeing 747 lost part of the engine in flight


Iran's Boeing 747 made an emergency landing in the airport of Tehran after one of its four engines started coming apart in the air.

The photos of the power unit parts, which fell in the suburb of the Iranian capital were posted by local journalist Abas Aslani in his Twitter. They also capture the condition of the engine after landing in Tehran.



Antonov ordered Canadian engines for An-132


Antonov State Company ordered two PW150A engines by Canadian manufacturer Pratt&Whitney Canada for installation on the An-132D prototype, Antonov’s press service reported. The power units are to be delivered to Ukraine on April 2016, the first flight of the prototype planned at the end of the next year.



El Al has introduced a discount on baggage for low-cost flights to Kyiv


Israeli airline El Al, which makes low-cost flights Kyiv-Tel Aviv under the UP brand, has introduced a 50% discount on baggage if paying in advance.

Baggage transportation at the special price will cost $17 for a suitcase weighing up to 23 kg to one direction. The ordinary fare is $35. The tariff for baggage payment at the airport before departure remained at the same level – $70 for a suitcase to one direction.
